Demons hold off late rally; Zimmy nets hat trick
The Ice Demons held off a late rally by the Pythons in an exciting game, holding on to win 6-5. Zimmy netted a hat trick; other goals came from Daniels on a nice wrist shot to the top shelf, and Dancona and Friewald (R) on big rebound plays.
Penalties were the usual: Babs, Blankey, and Bip.
When asked by the press afterwards about losing his stick in the neutral zone without anyone near him, Zimmy could only give us the #1 sign. ;-)

overall, good win. Some mental lapses let them back in it twice, but we came away with 2 pts. I also just wanted to say thanks for the way that all of the guys welcomed me right into the locker room and helped me fit right in. I really want to keep improving to make a real contribution, so any advice or help on my play will be greatly appreciated.
